Community Assembly

Dear Ukrainians! Our community on the island is growing, we are holding wonderful events, and we support each other. But it is time to take the next, more official step in our self-organization.

In the near future we are planning an official meeting with the mayor of Puerto de la Cruz. Our goal is to present the Ukrainian community, build cooperation with local authorities, and discuss our needs.

To make this meeting with the mayor as constructive and productive as possible, we need to go there with a clear plan. That is exactly why we are calling a general assembly of our community.

🗣 What we will discuss:

• Cultural and charity projects: what large events, festivals, or fairs we can organize with the support of the city.

• Our needs: whether we need municipal premises (for meetings, children's clubs, Ukrainian school, rehearsals).

• Integration: how the city can help newly arrived Ukrainians (language courses, information support).

• Participation in city life: how we can integrate Ukrainian culture into local Canarian/Spanish celebrations.

• Your ideas: an open microphone for all proposals.

This meeting is for everyone who cares: volunteers, activists, entrepreneurs, artists, and every person who wants to contribute to the development of our community and cares how we are represented at the city level.

Our voice must sound strong, organized, and dignified. Together we can do much more both for our diaspora and for the city that warmly welcomed us.
