The Ukrainian Children’s Centre opens its doors: join us on 24 October at Amora Academy
Join us at Amora Academy in Puerto de la Cruz on 24 October at 11:00 to meet the teachers and try a free first class in Ukrainian. Registration closes on 22 October.
Dear parents! The Ukrainian Association of Tenerife Norte is launching Saturday classes in Ukrainian for children and teenagers. We invite you and your children to our open day to meet the teachers, see the classrooms and choose activities.
This is a space for lively conversation in Ukrainian, creativity, games, experiments and new discoveries, rather than a traditional school with lessons and grades.
- When: Saturday, 24 October 2026, 11:00–12:30, Canary Islands time.
- Where: Amora Academy, Ctra. General Puerto Cruz – Arenas, 124, Loc 1A (1st floor), Puerto de la Cruz.
- Cost: the first class on the open day is free.
What children can look forward to
- Children aged 7–9: Ukrainian language enrichment classes with Inna, through play, creativity and conversation.
- Teenagers aged 13+: Ukrainian history with Kateryna.
- From the week after the open day: physics and astronomy with Lina will also be available for both groups.
Classes for the different groups run at the same time in separate classrooms and last 1 hour. While the children are in class, parents can enjoy a coffee downstairs.
Meet our teachers
Inna leads Ukrainian language enrichment classes for children aged 7–9.
Kateryna teaches Ukrainian history.
Lina teaches physics and astronomy.
On 24 October, you will be able to speak with each of them in person.
Join our team!
We are expanding our team of volunteer teachers. If you would like to lead classes for Ukrainian children in Tenerife — in language, literature, art, music, natural sciences or a subject of your own — please write to ucranorte@gmail.com. Tell us a little about yourself and what you could offer the children.
Register your interest in other age groups
Do you have children aged 4–5 or 10–12? You can register your interest now. We will open a group once at least 4 children of the same age have signed up.
Please register here
👉 Register for the open day or express interest in another age group
Classroom places are limited. Registration for 24 October is open until Thursday, 22 October 2026. If your plans change, please let us know in advance so that we can offer the place to another child.
Where the classes will take place
Classes will take place in the bright classrooms at Amora Academy in Puerto de la Cruz. The rooms accommodate small groups, have a board and screen, and offer sea views from the windows.
What happens after the first meeting
During the open day, you can speak with each teacher individually, learn about the programme, ask questions and tell us about your child. We will adapt the programmes to the children in each group.
After the first class, you can sign up for regular classes. We will arrange the timetable with parents’ preferences in mind.
Regular class fee: €10 per class, paid monthly.
We look forward to welcoming you and your children to Amora Academy on 24 October! 💙💛
