Ukrainians celebrated Easter in Puerto de la Cruz
The Ukrainian community in Tenerife gathered in Puerto de la Cruz to celebrate Easter in a warm atmosphere of unity, support, and Ukrainian traditions.

Ukrainians in Tenerife gathered in Puerto de la Cruz to celebrate Easter — one of the warmest and most meaningful holidays in Ukrainian culture.
The celebration took place on the grounds of the Anglican church, which warmly welcomed the community and offered shelter from the rain. Despite the weather, the gathering was filled with light, warmth, and the feeling of a true Ukrainian Easter far from home.
Participants came wearing vyshyvankas, gathered under the blue-and-yellow flag, and shared Easter bread, music, and heartfelt conversations. The atmosphere felt close and familiar: people met, talked, shared news, and supported one another.
This event was not only about the holiday itself. For Ukrainians in Tenerife, it was another reminder of how important it is to have a community nearby. During the gathering, participants also discussed many ideas they would like to bring to life together for the Ukrainian community on the island.
The organizers thanked everyone who joined the celebration, as well as the Anglican church in Puerto de la Cruz for its hospitality and support.
Ukrainian Easter in Tenerife once again showed that even far from home, traditions, language, songs, and mutual support help preserve a strong sense of unity.
Together to Victory! 💙💛
